Hi im trying to test out Devin on our company development server, we don't have FM installed in the default location. Is there a workaround to get the install working with custom install location or is the default location essential pre requirement.

Devin Server 1.2.0 does not support custom FMS installation paths, unfortunately. 
If the reason for the non-default location is due to storing files on another drive, a workaround is to install FMS in the default location and then use the Additional Database Folders feature in Admin Console to specify extra file locations. I know we have clients that have it setup that way.
Would that work for you?
If not, would you mind sharing the reason for installing in a non-default location?

Hi David,
thank you for clarification. The reason for the install on a seperate virtual drive is to some extend historic (always has been this setup for last decade) and also for simpler setup for additional server backup routines (non claris native). Installing the whole server in the default location with or without use of additional database folder will probably be possible just means that i have to reinstall the test servers and later live servers which is somewhat time consuming. But will work. Looking forward to trying out devin (:
